Let it Snow

Proving that March is unpredictable in this part of the world, we started the day yesterday with green grass and ended it with 9" of snow. It took me almost two hours to pick the girls up from preschool and get them home. They did, however, have a blast playing in the snow while I shoveled the driveway.

Today their nanny took them to school so I could get to work early. I couldn't help but notice that they cheerfully came downstairs at 7 AM as soon as our nanny arrived. They were sound asleep and very reluctant to get up every day that I had to wake them up this week!

Tomorrow they will spend the night at our nanny's house to give me a night off now that we're at the two-week mark of mom's deployment. This reprieve was planned well before I knew that my school would be playing in the Sweet Sixteen tomorrow night. Couldn't have planned it better if I tried.
