Can't Fool Me Anymore

Etta had a nasty cough over the weekend, significantly impacting mom and dad's sleep.

Sunday evening she seemed to be getting better. When we put her to bed, she started crying that she "needs medicine" before she could go to sleep. So mom went back downstairs, put some water in a syringe and gave it to her as if it was Tylenol. She seemed content with the placebo and mercifully slept through the night.

After school on Monday she declared to us, "Last night my medicine was water!"
