Where do Lunches Come From?

Chris Rock has an old routine about how dads don't get quite the same recognition that moms do: "Nobody ever says, 'Hey dad, thanks for knocking out this rent! It sure is easy to read with all this light'!" Apparently the same applies to school lunches.

Part of the new morning routine is dad making all four family lunches before getting the girls up around 6:30. The girls' favorite - peanut butter and honey sandwiches - are packed away with fruit and cups for milk at lunchtime.

A few days ago, I was running behind and told the girls, "Daddy has to make your lunch." Marie replied, "No, teacher makes my lunch!" Yesterday on Skype with my sister, she asked what the girls had for lunch. This time Etta replied, "Teacher made me peanut butter and honey!"

I must learn to use this lack of observation to my advantage..............
